Profes busca llevarnos a recordar a aquella persona que se convirtió en ‘nuestro PROFE’, en mayúsculas. Aquel o aquella maestra que consiguió despertar nuestra curiosidad y nuestra pasión por aprender. A través de un viaje por tres países tan dispares como Inglaterra, Guinea Ecuatorial y España, el documental demuestra que lo más importante en una escuela es la calidad humana y el compromiso de los docentes con sus alumnos.
Buscamos y encontramos, sin importar razas, culturas o lenguas, a esas figuras esparcidas por cualquier punto del planeta, que están cambiando la vida de muchos niños día a día. Paco, Alison, Carmen, Rebeca, Ramón, y otros muchos más, intercambian experiencias y conocimientos. Nuestros profes se cruzan, se enseñan y aprenden unos de otros.
Desde las prácticas británicas más innovadoras, hasta las situaciones más duras que se viven en Guinea Ecuatorial, el documental recorre distintos centros, expone sus prácticas, y logra plasmar cómo la pasión y el compromiso de los docentes por su trabajo marcan una verdadera diferencia en la vida de los niños. Encontrar la mejor manera de ayudar a los alumnos a aprender es la clave, y esto se cumple en cualquier situación o lugar del mundo.
Estos son nuestros profes; aquellos que consiguen hacer que el alumno vibre en el aula, que crezca más allá del pupitre y los libros, y que encuentre la motivación para emprender un camino en la vida. Profes (Teachers), is a film that reminds us of the person that used to be “our special teacher”. That teacher who managed to arouse our curiosity and our passion to learn. A trip through three different countries: England, Equatorial Guinea and Spain. This documentary shows us that the most important thing in a school is human quality and the commitment of teachers with their students.
We seek and find, regardless of race, culture or language, those people scattered around the planet, who are changing the lives of many children every day.
